Conference Fees
The fee that you will be required to pay will depend on what capacity you intend to attend the conference. For example, you can be a conference delegate (i.e. a person who has a paper accepted by the conference) and choose to take all meals provided by the conference; or you can be a guest (a non-delegate) who just want to sit in the paper session and listen to the presentations. There are many different combinations. All possible combinations are listed below. Please read and choose carefully to determine the appropriate fee level for you.

There are limited accommodation at the Health Center within the Hong Kong Adventist College campus. These may be reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis. The cost is $66.00 USD per room per night, which sleeps up to two persons per room. If you prefer to stay at an off-campus hotel and commute to the college each day, or if you are not able to secure a room on-campus, you will need to make your own reservation online or by phone, using a standard travel site like hotels.com or one of the tourist sites listed on the bottom of the Conference home page. If you need help, please contact the Local Chair, Leendert Brouwer at [email protected].
Please note that the accommodation cost is in addition to the Conference Delegate Fee. So you need to add the two together. Also you will need to decide on how many nights you plan to stay, depending on whether you plan to stay for the whole weekend from Thursday, Oct 30th to Monday morning Nov 3rd 2014. In that case you will need to book 4 nights. Over the weekend, you may remain in HKAC and attend its 75th Anniversary Celebration on the weekend, or you may elect to attend another church on Sabbath and tour Hong Kong on Sunday. If there are sufficient interests, AIC can organize a guided tour of Hong Kong on Sunday. Please email the Local Chair, Leendert Brouwer to indicate your interest.
Please Note: HKAC has advised that all rooms in the Hearth Center have been taken. They will not accept any further booking for rooms there. However, they can still accept bookings for single-bed in dormitory style rooms where one has to share bathrooms. Cost is $35 USD per person per night. - Conference Sit-in Guest (non-delegate) with Meals: $75.00 USD per person
Conference sit-in guests are those who want to sit in and listen to the paper presentations but do not have a paper accepted by the conference. They may also join the delegates during refreshment breaks. - Sit-in Only without Meals: $16.00 USD per person

For your convenience, you may pay the conference fees by any one of the following methods. Whichever payment method you chose, please complete and submit the Payment Advice Form below to ensure your account is properly credited.
- Pay by Check: This is the traditional method if you have an US bank account. Please make check payable to Sharon Sung and mail to the address shown above.
- Pay Online via Your Own Bank: If your own bank has an online P2P or Billpay facility, you may be able to pay the conference fee from you own computer. This is probably the most convenient method. Examples of online payment include Chase Quick Pay, Wells Fargo Sure Pay, Bank of America Online Transfer, etc. Remember to pay the money to Sharon Sung with the email address [email protected], and use the address shown above, if these information are needed. Remember to include "AIC Conference" and your name in the reference field to help identify your payment.
- Pay via 3rd Party Payment Systems - e.g. PayPal, Western Union: This method will also work for international delegates from outside of US. Again use Sharon Sung's email [email protected] as the payee. However, PayPal charges the payee a fee of 2.9%+30 cents for each transaction. So please remember to add 2.9%+30 cents to your payment to cover this fee if you use PayPal to pay your conference fees. On the other hand, Western Union charges the payer, so you will have to pay the transaction fee up front.
- Wire the Money: You may electronically wire the conference fees from your own bank to Dr. Sharon Sung's bank. This method will work for both international and US delegates. You will need the SWIFT code, the recipient name & address, the branch's routing number, and the recipient bank account number, to do the wiring. For security reason, these information are not published here. Please email Dr. Sharon Sung at [email protected] for the needed information. Most US banks charge a wiring fee of $30 (domestic wire), $45 (international wire), and an extra $15 for incoming wire. So you will need to cover these fees when you wire your payment to ensure the correct amount is received by the Conference.
- For Delegates and Guests in Hong Kong: For your convenience, you may pay your registration fees in local currency in HKD at the Cashier at Hong Kong Adventist College. You will need to email the Conference Secretary, Dr. Sharon Sung to find out the fee level in HKD. After you made your payment, you need to scan the receipt, and email to Dr. Sung as proof of payment.
- If you decided to mail in a check, make sure to allow sufficient time for it to reach the Conference Secretary before the early bird deadline. Otherwise, a late fee may be added.
- If the conference fees are paid after the early bird deadline, please remember to add a 10% surcharge (late fee) plus the possibility of additional processing fee. This is because once your fees are received in USD, the Conference Secretary will need to wire the money in bulk to Hong Kong in time for the conference. Late remittance may require separate wiring, which may incur additional wiring fees by US and foreign banks. Currently the wiring fee is about $40 USD per transaction.
